Cleaning and disinfecting tablets and kiosks
While the Coronavirus is still threatening, our customers wisely placed tablet kiosks to inform, serve and manage their customers in support of physical distancing but those kiosks, tablet and accessories must be properly cleaned and disinfected, as part of the global effort to reduce risks.
Cleaning will removes dirt, grease, dust and other contaminants, while disinfecting is a chemical process designed to eliminate bacteria and virus.
Power off the device or make sure you will not press any button during the process.
Make sure you don’t get liquids inside the unit. Do not spray the tablet directly. Use cleaning wipes or soft cloths (microfiber) dampened with cleaning solution. Use only non-abrasive wipes or cloths to avoid scratching touchscreens and surfaces.
Avoid highly concentrated alcohol (> 70%) and non-diluted bleach or ammonia solutions, as these may cause damage to the device or hardware.
Wipe the surfaces with the appropriate wipes or cloths and cleaning products, and allow them to dry.

Make sure you don’t get liquids inside the unit. Do not spray the tablet directly. Instead, use Isopropyl alcohol-based disinfecting wipes or professional disinfectant, germicidal cleaner sprays on a soft cloth (microfiber).
Disinfect the surfaces by wiping them with the cloth or wipe, and allow the surface to dry.
Don’t get moisture into any openings and ports. Never spray directly onto the tablet
- Don’t use bleaching products and abrasive cleaning products
- Use disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting and throw them away after the process. Clean hands immediately after gloves are removed.
- Follow your manufacturer guidelines for cleaning devices such as payment/mPOS terminals, printers, and card readers.
